The Viltrox AF 85mm f/1.8 XF II lens is the second iteration of this portrait-length prime created for FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras, and is distinguished by its redesigned sleeker and lighter design. The short-telephoto focal length and bright f/1.8 construction of the lens make it suitable for use in a variety of lighting situations as well as for adjusting depth of field and isolating subject matter. In order to achieve great clarity and sharpness, the optical design includes one extra-low dispersion element, one aspherical element, and four highly transparent glass elements. These elements all work together to lessen chromatic and spherical aberrations. Additionally, an HD Nano multi-layer coating has been used to reduce flare and ghosting for better contrast when working in bright lighting.
