The white FUJIFILM instax Pal 2 combines a redesigned, palm-sized body with a 28mm f/2.2 wide-angle lens. Its viewfinder offers a traditional way to compose photos, while the top-mounted 1.0-inch LCD lets you review shots before transferring them to your phone.
The required, free instax Pal app lets you store photos and use your smartphone as a remote shutter for hands-free shooting. Transfer images wirelessly over Bluetooth or connect the camera directly to your smartphone with its built-in USB Type-C connector.
For prints, send selected images from the app to a compatible instax Link series smartphone printer, including the Link WIDE 2, or a compatible hybrid camera such as the instax mini LiPlay or mini Evo. The Pal 2 does not print photos itself. Printing devices and instax instant film are sold separately, and the app for the selected printing device must also be downloaded.
After pairing with the app, use the camera's top dial to select from up to 30 creative effects. Options include Custom, Modern, Y2K, Vintage, Chromatic, and Fantasy, offering different looks to suit your photos. Choose an instax mini, SQUARE, WIDE, or frameless format, then personalize images with filters, text, or stickers before printing.
Animation mode combines 10 individual frames into a flipbook-style sequence. A dedicated lever on top of the camera lets you switch between shooting modes quickly.
Slide the included camera angle adjustment accessory beneath the camera to set up selfies or group shots. Use the selfie mirror and self-timer to get into the frame, or release the shutter remotely from your connected smartphone.
