Nikon HB-74 Lens Hood
The Nikon HB-74 is a Bayonet mount lens hood designed for use with AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR Lens. It helps to reduce stray light which can cause flare. The AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR Lens is compatible with the Nikon HB-74 Bayonet Lens Hood. By extending and darkening the end of the lens, lens hoods are primarily made to stop stray light from entering the lens. A dedicated lens hood has an angle of view that matches the lens it was made for. While the hood is in use, the end of the lens is expanded, providing additional defense against unintentional hits to the front element.
