The NiSi NC UV Filter II combines protective UV filtration with a front thread for additional filters, giving Fujifilm X100 owners a compact filter setup. It is designed for the X100, X100S, X100F, X100T, X100V and X100VI, with a fit tailored to the series’ fixed 23mm f/2 lens.
The redesigned front ring accepts standard 49mm screw-in filters. You can add a circular polarizer, neutral density filter or black mist filter directly over the UV filter without a separate adapter or step ring. This makes the protector a mounting point for other filters while keeping the setup compact.
Installation uses a single directly attached unit rather than an adapter-and-filter assembly. Remove the camera’s factory trim ring and screw the filter into its place. Its near-flush position preserves the lens barrel’s compact profile, with no separate adapter tube to purchase, fit or keep track of and fewer interfaces where dust can collect.
Dedicated clearance inside the filter accommodates the lens barrel as it extends during close-focus and macro shooting. The construction avoids mechanical interference with lens travel, allowing you to retain the lens’s native minimum focusing distance and close-focusing performance rather than removing the protector for nearby subjects.

Both glass surfaces receive a multilayer, low-reflection nano coating with 99.3% light transmission. By suppressing reflections between the filter and lens, the coating helps control flare and ghosting when photographing bright sources such as street lights, shop windows or a low sun. It also helps preserve contrast and neutral color rendition, maintaining a consistent starting point for editing.
The filter provides a replaceable protective surface in front of the camera’s fixed lens. It shields the front element from scratches, dust, sand and moisture encountered during everyday use. Because the X100 does not have an interchangeable lens, this protection helps keep routine exposure and wear on the filter rather than on the lens itself.
A hydrophobic and oleophobic outer coating resists water and oily residue. Rain beads and rolls off rather than remaining on the glass, while fingerprints, sunscreen and sea spray are easier to remove. NiSi describes these deposits as lifting away with a single pass of a microfiber cloth, simplifying cleaning while you are out shooting.
