Built specifically for the Fujifilm X100 series, the NiSi NC UV Filter II combines a protective UV filter with a front thread for adding other filters. This silver version fits the X100, X100S, X100F, X100T, X100V, and X100VI, replacing the factory trim ring for an integrated, low-profile fit.
Installation requires no separate adapter tube: remove the camera’s decorative ring and screw the filter directly into its place. The single-piece construction sits almost flush with the lens barrel, avoiding the additional length and extra component of an adapter-based setup. Its fit is designed around the X100 series’ fixed 23mm f/2 lens.
The new 49mm front thread expands the filter’s role beyond lens protection. Standard 49mm screw-in filters, including circular polarizers, neutral density filters, and black mist filters, attach directly to the front. This lets you build a compact filter setup without adding an adapter or step ring to accommodate those filters.
Dedicated clearance inside the filter accommodates the lens barrel as it extends during close focusing and macro shooting. The barrel can travel without mechanical interference from the filter, preserving the lens’s native close-focus capability. You can therefore leave the filter attached when working at the lens’s minimum focusing distance.
Both sides of the optical glass have a multilayer, low-reflection nano coating with 99.3% light transmission. By reducing reflections between the filter and lens, the coating helps control flare and ghosting around bright sources such as streetlights, illuminated windows, and a low sun. It also helps maintain contrast and neutral color rendition.
The polished optical glass absorbs ultraviolet light to reduce atmospheric haze and the blue cast that can obscure distant detail. Alongside this optical function, the filter provides a protective layer in front of the camera’s fixed lens.
For everyday use, the filter shields the front element from scratches, dust, sand, and moisture. This is especially useful on the X100’s fixed-lens design: the filter takes the exposure to daily wear and can be replaced if damaged, rather than leaving the lens itself unprotected.
A water- and oil-repellent outer layer makes routine cleaning easier. Rain beads and rolls off instead of remaining on the surface, while fingerprints, sunscreen, and sea spray can be wiped away with a microfiber cloth. The coating is intended to keep the protective glass easy to maintain during regular outdoor use.
- • Weather sealing: Installing the filter completes the X100 series’ weather seal at the front of the camera, helping keep out rain, spray, and dust.
- • Original lens cap compatibility: The Fujifilm X100 series’ original cap fits directly over the installed filter, so you can continue using it between shots without switching to a replacement cap.
The slim aluminum frame has an anodized silver finish to complement silver X100 bodies. Its low-profile edge preserves the camera’s compact shape, while discreet engraving keeps the appearance understated. Designed for street photography, travel, and daily carry, the filter can remain installed as a low-maintenance protective layer without changing handling or balance.
Some images demonstrating features and X100 compatibility may show a different filter color.
