OM System PEN Mirroless Camera Body (Black)

Mirrorless Power in Your Pocket

Combining interchangeable-lens versatility with an exceptionally compact design, the OM SYSTEM PEN Mirrorless Camera puts the creative capabilities of a full-featured camera into a body that's easy to carry everywhere. Its 20.4MP Micro Four Thirds sensor, fast autofocus, powerful image stabilization, and extensive selection of creative features make the PEN an ideal everyday camera for beginners and experienced photographers alike.

Whether you're exploring the city, spending the day at the skatepark, traveling, or simply enjoying time with friends, the PEN is designed to stay out of the way until the perfect moment appears. Its slim, lightweight body is comfortable to carry and discreet enough for candid photography, while interchangeable lenses give you far more creative flexibility than a smartphone or fixed-lens compact camera.

A Redesigned Classic

The PEN name has a long history of combining portability and photographic performance, dating back to the original PEN film cameras and continuing with the introduction of the first digital PEN in 2009. The latest PEN carries that philosophy forward with a modern Micro Four Thirds mirrorless system.

The smaller sensor format allows both the camera body and compatible lenses to remain compact and lightweight compared with full-frame systems, while still delivering detailed images, broad dynamic range, rich color, and the creative control of interchangeable lenses.

Extreme Portability

The PEN is designed to go wherever you go. Its slim profile and ergonomic grip make it comfortable to hold, while its lightweight construction makes it easy to carry in a small bag or on a shoulder strap throughout the day.

Instead of leaving a larger camera at home or struggling to capture difficult scenes with a smartphone, the PEN gives you a capable interchangeable-lens camera that's always ready. From long hikes and vacations to everyday walks around town, its compact design makes photography more convenient without sacrificing versatility.

Built for Adventure

When paired with separately available splashproof OM SYSTEM lenses, the PEN features IPX1-rated water resistance, helping protect it from vertically falling water such as light rain. This added protection gives you greater confidence when shooting outdoors and means you don't have to wait for perfect weather to take your camera along.

Beginner-Friendly, Pro-Ready

The PEN combines straightforward operation with advanced photographic capabilities, making it easy for new photographers to get started while providing plenty of room to grow.

Its powerful in-body image stabilization helps produce sharp handheld images, while fast, accurate autofocus keeps up with moving subjects. Specialized scene modes further simplify shooting when you want the camera to handle the technical details.

As your skills develop, the PEN provides advanced features including:

• Up to 30 fps continuous shooting for capturing decisive moments in sports, wildlife, action, and everyday photography.

• Focus stacking for increased depth of field in subjects such as macro photography and landscapes.

• In-camera and bracketed HDR for capturing scenes with a broad range of brightness, including landscapes and night skies.

• In-camera multiple exposure functionality for creating creative composite images without requiring post-processing.

• High Res shooting mode, which combines multiple exposures in-camera to produce highly detailed images suitable for large prints and extensive cropping.

• Hot shoe support for external flashes, with synchronization speeds up to 1/250 second and front- and rear-curtain sync options.

The PEN's 20.4MP sensor provides plenty of resolution for everyday photography and large prints, while High Res shooting gives you an additional option when maximum detail is required.

Customizable Profiles and Creative Art Filters

The PEN makes it easy to develop and maintain your own photographic style. Its profile controls allow you to switch between color and monochrome looks while customizing settings such as color profiles, curves, and sharpness. Save different combinations for different types of photography and switch between them as needed, reducing the amount of post-processing required later.

For photographers who want distinctive results straight out of the camera, the PEN also offers an extensive collection of Art Filters. Transform the look of an image with a single setting, from gritty monochrome street photography to soft portraits and stylized landscapes.

Available Art Filters include:

Pop Art, Soft Focus, Pale & Light Color, Light Tone, Grainy Film, Pin Hole, Diorama, Cross Process, Gentle Sepia, Dramatic Tone, Key Line, Watercolor, Vintage, Partial Color (18 Color), Bleach Bypass, and Instant Film.

Compact 4K Video

The PEN isn't limited to still photography. Its compact design and capable video features make it an excellent choice for travel videos, family movies, social media content, and everyday filmmaking.

Face and Eye Detection autofocus with human and animal recognition helps keep subjects sharp, even when you're recording yourself. For more controlled shooting, focus peaking and focus magnification assist with precise manual focusing.

A built-in 3.5mm microphone input allows you to connect an external microphone and record high-quality 24-bit audio directly in the camera, giving you greater control over sound without requiring a separate recorder.

The PEN can record 4K video at 24 fps as well as 120 fps high-speed video for creating dramatic slow-motion footage.

OM Image Share

With the OM Image Share app, you can connect the PEN to your smartphone for convenient wireless camera control and image sharing. Use Live View to remotely adjust camera settings, frame your shot, and trigger the shutter, or use the simpler remote shutter mode when a preview isn't required.

Photos can be transferred directly to your smartphone for quick sharing and basic editing, making it easy to publish your images while you're still traveling or away from your computer.

The app also lets you create and maintain your own collection of editing profiles, giving you a consistent visual style across your photographs. When connected to the app, GPS information can also be recorded, allowing you to keep track of where your favorite photographs were taken.

A Camera Designed to Be Used Every Day

The OM SYSTEM PEN brings together the portability of a compact camera, the flexibility of an interchangeable-lens system, and the creative control of a modern mirrorless camera. Its Micro Four Thirds sensor, fast autofocus, image stabilization, high-speed shooting, 4K video, customizable profiles, and extensive Art Filters make it equally appealing to photographers buying their first interchangeable-lens camera and experienced shooters looking for a camera they can take anywhere.

Small enough to carry every day but capable enough to grow with your photography, the PEN makes it easier to keep a real camera with you—and be ready when an unforgettable moment appears.
