The RØDE Interview PRO combines a handheld condenser microphone with wireless connectivity for interviews, media production, presentations, and content creation. Its compact design brings broadcast-grade voice capture to situations ranging from street interviews and field reporting to casual podcasts and recording on the move.
Pair it with any RØDE Series IV wireless receiver, including Wireless PRO, Wireless ME, and Wireless GO II, to record through a compatible system into a camera, smartphone, or computer. It also pairs directly with the RØDECaster Pro II and RØDECaster Duo for wireless podcasting and small presentations. Wireless use requires a RØDE Series IV receiver or another compatible product; the microphone can also work independently as a field recorder.
Series IV 2.4GHz digital transmission uses 128-bit encryption and supports a wireless range of up to 200m with a clear line of sight. The wireless system is also optimized for stable operation at close range, supporting both nearby recording setups and greater separation from the receiver.
GainAssist automatically adjusts recording levels as you work, helping keep speech balanced without constant manual gain changes. Two available modes let you tailor its behavior to the recording situation. This is particularly useful when moving between interview subjects with different speaking levels.
The condenser capsule captures detailed speech, while its omnidirectional pickup makes microphone placement more forgiving and helps cover multiple speakers. An internal pop filter, included windshield, and internal capsule shock mounting work together to reduce plosives, wind noise, and handling noise during handheld recording.
Onboard recording stores over 40 hours of 32-bit float audio. This format lets you recover recordings that were captured too loudly or too quietly during post-production, providing additional flexibility when working with interviews, presentations, and performances. Recording does not require pairing with a wireless receiver, so the Interview PRO can serve as a portable standalone field recorder.

The free RØDE Central companion app provides configuration and firmware updates from supported desktop and mobile devices. Its desktop version also lets you access and export onboard recordings. Mobile support includes iOS and Android, while the desktop app is available for Mac and Windows.
