The OM-5 Mirrorless Camera from OM SYSTEM is a portable and reliable Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera appropriate for a range of stills and video needs. The camera offers rapid continuous shooting up to 30 fps, as well as DCI and UHD 4K video recording, thanks to a 20.4MP Live MOS sensor and an improved TruePic IX image processor. A powerful 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilization technology reduces camera shake by up to 6.5 stops for crisper handheld shooting, while the sensor and processor provide a sensitivity range of up to ISO 25600. Beyond imaging, the sensor's architecture includes 121 cross-type phase-detection sites, as well as 121 contrast-detection areas for effective subject tracking and quick focusing. TruePic IX Image Processor and a 20.4MP Live MOS Sensor 

The upgraded TruePic IX image processor and high-resolution 20.4MP Live MOS sensor combine to deliver quick shooting performance, an ISO sensitivity range up to 25600, and flexible 4K video recording capabilities. Additionally, when shooting in the camera's new Pro Catch mode, the sensor and processor offer an amazing continuous shooting rate of up to 30 fps, allowing you to capture swiftly moving subjects when time is of the importance. 

Phase-Detection 121-Point All Cross-Type AF 

For focusing performance that is both swift and accurate, a sophisticated autofocus system includes both 121 phase-detection AF points and 121 contrast-detection AF points. For increased accuracy in settings of variable lighting, all 121 phase-detection sites are cross-type, enhancing subject tracking capabilities. Additionally, a variety of focusing options are available, such as the Group Target 25-point mode for moving targets like birds and other wildlife. Additionally improved are Face Detection and Eye Detection AF, a recently developed Starry Sky AF option, and separate AF area settings for vertical and horizontal locations. 

OM-Log400, DCI, and UHD 4K Video Recording 

The sensor and CPU can also record 4K videos in UHD (3840 x 2160) and DCI (4096 x 2160) resolutions. A real 24p frame rate is required when working in DCI, whereas frame rates up to 30p are possible for UHD 4K. The built-in stereo microphone can be used to capture sounds, and an external mic jack is also provided for higher-quality audio recording. A Time-lapse Movie option is also offered for recording at a maximum resolution of 4K UHD. 

Shooting Techniques 

By merging exposures into a single image to mimic a picture taken at a slower shutter speed, Live ND 16 mode produces blurred subject movement to mimic the effects of a neutral density filter. This is very useful for taking pictures of clouds and moving water. 

Focus stacking mode takes several consecutive pictures in order to create a composite image with an enlarged depth of field. 

The output of the High-Res Shot mode is equal to a 50MP image. 

Live Composite mode is perfect for long exposures, nighttime shooting, and light painting applications since it gradually builds up an exposure over time without overexposing important components inside the frame. 

The 9:16 aspect ratio of the new Vertical Video mode makes it simple to integrate videos from Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other comparable services. 

Body Connectivity and Design 

2.36 million dot high resolution electronic viewfinder for distortion-free, eye-level monitoring.
