Sony PXW-FX9K XDCAM 6K with 28-135mm f/4 G OSS Lens

With its potent and adaptable 4K interchangeable lens camera system, Sony's PXW-FX9K XDCAM 6K Full-Frame Camera System has you covered for shooting documentaries, events, reality TV, educational, or corporate productions. A full-frame, oversampled 6K Exmor R CMOS sensor on the PXW-FX9K enables you to take 4K photos with dramatic depth of field. The stainless steel E-mount on the camera enables the use of E-mount lenses. The kit comes with a Sony 28-135mm f/4 G OSS E-mount zoom lens that supports full-frame format and has an f/4 to f/22 aperture range.

The PXW-FX9K input and output features include genlock and timecode when employing a multicamera system, as well as 12G/6G-SDI and HDMI outputs for 4K video and a 3G-SDI output for HD. Accurate focus is possible thanks to the Fast Hybrid AF autofocus system, which also offers facial detection with 561 points of detection. The internal gyroscope of the PXW-FX9K is employed for advanced image stabilisation to produce photos that are so smooth they appear to have been taken with a gimbal. You can use external microphones and simultaneously record background noise with the internal microphones thanks to its 4-channel audio recording.

The camera has a 15-stop dynamic range, dynamic HDR support, hybrid log gamma mode (HLG), and records 10-bit 4:2:2 to twin XQD media card slots that offer simultaneous and relay recording as well as a number of backup recording modes that make use of proxy files. The camera has internal recording capabilities for UHD (3840 x 2160) and HD (1920 x 1080) in XAVC-I, XAVC-Long, and MPEG HD formats at selectable frame rates ranging from 1 fps to 60 fps. Its 7-stop electronic variable ND filter easily adjusts from 1/4 to 1/128 density in auto or manual mode. The Sony VENICE camera's soft, bright tone is replicated by the camera's preset S-Cinetone colour appearance.

Along with its broad dynamic range, this camera's improved colour and light features include a dual base ISO of 800/4000 with a maximum ISO of 102,400, which is useful when using a slower lens or in low-light conditions. A more natural-looking white balance in sunshine, user-created 3D LUTs, enhanced AF, audio enhancements, USB tethering, T-value metadata, password enhancements, and an S35 2K imager scan mode are some of the additional enhancements with the most recent firmware.

The FX9 comes with a body cap, viewfinder, eyepiece, remote control, and USB cable in addition to a BP-U35 battery, BC-U1A battery charger, and an inbuilt Multi-Interface (MI) shoe. The XDCA-FX9 extension unit, which is sold separately and has ENG shoulder support, networking capabilities, and a slot for an optional wireless audio receiver, is likewise compatible with the PXW-FX9K.
